The Winds of the North
The people of the Headland are a fearsome lot of savages to the rest of the world, but they are a proud and devout people as well as any others. In their shallow longships they are born across the salt waters to plunder the wealth of the lands.
Windborn stand taller than the men of the southern lands. The men grow great beards to mark their status and wear tattoos of animals and runes on their bodies. The women are tough as the men, but often are left to care for the children and lands when the men go off to raid. A few take up weapons and join the raids as some of the fiercest warriors. In battle the Windborn recite poems of warfare.
